Overview

Complete new-home and new-construction HVAC installations from load calc through final inspection.

For homes without existing central air, or for full system replacements where the old equipment is beyond salvage, Saguaro Mechanical delivers complete new-unit installations across the Valley. Most projects fall between $4,500 and $8,500 all-in — equipment, materials, labor, permits and startup.

The price range reflects real Valley homes: single-story 1,400 sq. ft. ranch on the low end, 2,800 sq. ft. two-story with tricky attic access on the high end. The written quote is fixed, not an estimate.

Every new-unit install includes matched components (never a mismatched coil and condenser), full permitting, and manufacturer warranty registration at the time of startup.

We coordinate directly with your city (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, Tempe, Surprise) on permits and inspections so you don't have to.

What's Included

The scope of a Saguaro new unit installation job.

Written scope, fixed pricing, and a real technician on every visit — not a subcontractor you've never met.

01

Load Calculation

Manual J-style sizing so you get the right tonnage for your actual home, not the wrong tonnage that happens to match the label on the old unit.

02

Matched Equipment

Condenser, evaporator coil, air handler or furnace — all from the same product family for full rated efficiency and warranty.

03

Line-Set & Refrigerant

New copper line-set where practical, brazed under nitrogen, pressure-tested and evacuated below 500 microns before charging.

04

Electrical & Disconnect

New whip, new disconnect, correct breaker sizing — inspected and up to current NEC and local code.

05

Thermostat & Controls

Smart thermostat included on most installs, wired and configured for your specific equipment stages.

06

Cleanup & Haul-Away

Old equipment hauled off, refrigerant reclaimed to EPA spec, job site left cleaner than we found it.

Frequently Asked

New Unit Installation
questions.

Why the $4,500 to $8,500 range?

+

Tonnage, efficiency tier (14 vs. 16+ SEER2), single-stage vs. two-stage or variable, single-story vs. two-story, attic access, existing electrical, and whether the ductwork needs any work. A one-hour on-site visit is enough for a fixed number.

Does the price include ductwork?

+

Minor duct repairs and sealing typically yes. Full duct replacement is quoted separately.

How long does the install take?

+

One day for a straight swap. Two days for larger homes, new construction, or when ductwork or electrical work is added to the scope.

Is there a warranty?

+

Yes — 10-year manufacturer parts warranty when we register the equipment at startup, plus our own labor warranty on the install.

Do you install in the summer?

+

Yes, year-round. In peak July heat we prioritize no-cool emergency installs and can typically have equipment set within 24–72 hours of the signed quote.
